Manicure Techniques

One of the prerequisites of being well-groomed is manicure and pedicure. Hands are one of the most important elements during communication. While hand-foot care was applied as an additional job in hairdressing salons until recently; in recent years, it has become one of the basic jobs done in skin care and beauty salons, separated from hairdressing.

Manicure and pedicure are done to beautify the hands, feet and nails. It includes cleaning, shaping the nails, cutting dead skin, massage application and nail polish application. Manicure should be done in an environment and conditions in accordance with health rules. Although the use of personalized tools is considered appropriate, care should be taken to ensure that all common tools and materials have undergone sterilization. Otherwise, many infectious diseases will be carried from person to person.

The Path to Follow in Manicure:

  • First, file your nails in one direction with a soft file. Otherwise, filing back and forth can cause your nails to weaken and delaminate.
  • Soak the filed nails in warm water to completely soften the dead cells and excess skin around the nail.
  • Now that you have softened your cuticles, push them back using a proper nail pusher. Since the actual growth of the nails is in the matrix area under the cuticle, the nail plate is formed by the living cells in this area pushing the dead cells. Therefore, cuticle care is very important in manicure.
  • Start cutting your pushed cuticles with caticle scissors (forceps) without going too deep, without bleeding and without making your cuticles pink.
  • Now, if you have massaged the entire hand, including the wrists, with appropriate creams, you can proceed to the nail polish application stage.
  • You can apply your nail polish according to your taste without overflowing and exaggerating the layers and enjoy your manicured hands.
