Massage Techniques

Massage is literally known as touching, kneading. It was born in China and India in 3000 BC and has survived to the present day. It is a therapy used as an alternative to medicine for the purpose of rest or treatment with massage, various strokes and rubs on the surface of the organism with hands or different tools. It is a therapy performed by people who have been trained in anatomy, physiology and psychological knowledge and ability within the correct technique and patient satisfaction-oriented application.

In addition to its relaxing, restful and soothing benefits, massage actually accelerates the patient's healing process when used as a treatment method. This method, called medical massage, has offered solutions to patients in many ailments such as accelerating blood circulation, soft tissue rheumatism, muscle cramps, spinal health and back pain, passive warm-up and motivation before sports activities, insomnia, constipation, cellulite, paralyzed patients and joint diseases.

The massage application, which we have mentioned in general terms, is of course beneficial for every person. However, as long as it is done in accordance with its purpose, it works and is therapeutic. Different massage techniques have been developed for this. Let's explain a few of them.

  • Classical Swedish Massage; It is a traditional type of massage, the first modern massage. It is used for rest and relaxation.
  • Tai Massage; Tai, known as a famous type of massage in the Far East, is done with the technique of stretching, stretching and pulling with pressure on the nerves and nerve nodes and arteries, with strokes.
  • Aromatherapy massage; Pain relieving, muscle relaxing, soothing, stimulating, etc. It is a therapeutic massage with medicinal plant extracts oils with properties.
  • Reflexology massage; With this massage on the soles of the feet, reflex points are pressed. Because it is believed that every organ in the body corresponds to the foot.
  • Lymph Drainage massage; It is a one-way massage technique following the lymph flow towards the heart to ensure the free flow of lymph fluid kept in the body.
